About Kickoff XI

Our mission

Make following the tournament effortless, and more fun with friends — predict scorelines, simulate the knockouts, pick a side in every match and compete in private leagues. Kickoff XI is free to use.

To be clear: Kickoff XI is not a gambling product. Predictions and games are for entertainment and bragging rights only — no stakes, no wagering, no cash prizes.

How we publish

We're transparent about this: Kickoff XI runs an AI-assisted newsroom. Match reports, previews, news analysis and live commentary are drafted by automated editorial agents grounded in live web search, then passed through automated checks before anything goes live. We'd rather tell you plainly than pretend otherwise.

• Fact-gated. A match report is only published if its extracted goalscorers reconcile with the official, synced scoreline; if they don't, it's held back, not published. Results and standings come from our scores provider, not the model.
• Sourced & attributed. News pieces name who reported a story (e.g. a verified journalist or an official club channel), link to real sources, and label anything unconfirmed as reported or rumoured — never stated as fact. Live commentary is only posted when corroborated across multiple independent live sources.
• Human oversight. A person monitors what the agents publish, can pause all automated publishing instantly, and edits or removes anything that's wrong.
• Original, not copied. We summarise and analyse in our own words and credit the original reporting — we don't reproduce other outlets' copy.

Corrections

We fix mistakes as soon as we find them, and we'd genuinely like to hear about any you spot. Email editorial@kickoffxi.com with the page and what's wrong, and we'll correct or remove it.

Independence & ownership

Kickoff XI is an independent project, self-funded and run by football fans. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with FIFA; “World Cup” is used descriptively. We use no official emblems, logos, mascots or trophies.
